Short ministry trip to Batam

I went to Batam last Saturday with some of the CVSOM students. This was the first time I went for a short ministry trip. It was part of the certificate course in Practical Christian Ministry offered by CVSOM, Covenant Vision School of Ministry. I went there with much anticipation and eagerness to see how our God moved among His people. This was a moment when I witnessed the work of the Holy Spirit, how it convicted the hearts of the people and lifted up their burdens, bondage, difficult moments and there were tears of joy and relief.

There was a total of 4 teams and our team comprised 9 members and we were all so different in our disposition. However, it was a fun time, when we learned to bear one another in love and patience. I believed the students knew now by heart that it was not about me but about Him!

The things I learned was to trust God from the preparation stage till completion by praying and committing every aspects of the trip under His gracious hand. Preparation work started one month earlier and we met for about 5 times. During the trip, God was truly creative and He just loved to upset all timing/schedule/sequence of orders for our sake so that we once again learned to refocus and followed His leading.








The phrase that I always heard were “Play by the ear”…. However, I also learned to rest in Him for He is in charge. We were just surrounded by his abundance peace when we learned to trust Him for He made our path straight. I just could not imagine that I was part of the team to do the altar call – me?, praying and laying hand on people. When I heard them weeping because of the Holy Spirit’s convicting, I was just amazed, how could this be happening? God was just no respector of person. When we were united in one accord, the Spirit moved mightily.

Reflections:
God has been working miraculously in the lives of many people. In the meetings, I heard how God healed the broken hearted, restored broken relationships, how faith activated the miraculous healing of a pre-believer who was in a coma when his wife and many christians prayed for him. When we are willing to cooperate with Him, we can see transformation in our lives as well as how we can impact the lives of others. To God be the glory!

Ego, a female feline - adoption & what to expect after that

My daughter adopted a kitten (2.5 months) from SPCA. We pay $65 to adopt her and this covers the cost of sterilisation, vaccination and microchipping. Initially she had spotted one that was cute but while we reached there, the kitten was already adopted by someone else. She decided to adopt the kitten which I found uncomely, didn't look cute at all. Furthermore she was a very active kitten and displayed alot of temperament, she meowed at you and tried to force open the cage. A eagle story
