Learning to speak God's language - from a book by Joyce Meyer

I am amazed by this sentence ie. talk to your mountain and not talk about your mountain. And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God. Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him - Mark 11:22,23.

God's Word instructs us to talk to the mountain as described in Jesus' words in the above passage. Many times we love to talk about our problem instead of speaking to the problem and rebuking it in Jesus' name.

This morning, the staff nurse called my husband and informed that my mother-in-law was getting restless and a bit violent. She banged the table and wanted to hit the nurse also. They decided to tie her to the bed. I also receive the same call. Sensing the urgency, I quickly packed my bag and after getting a packet of her favorite kway teow noodle, I headed to the ward with my maid.

Upon reaching the ward, I looked at her, my hand on her shoulder and I spoke to her restless behavior and rebuke it in Jesus' name and in a short she grew calmer. This is amazing. I poured out her favorite kway teow noodles, and told her to behave in the hospital and also learn to be thankful to the nurses and doctors cos this thankful act will inherit blessings. She listened to me like a small girl.

3Ds - Declutter, Detox & Debug

Just learnt these 3 words in a seminar - De-clutter, De-tox, De-bug In order to hear God clearly, I need to constantly apply these 3Ds in my life:- 1) De-clutter Most of the times I have a hard time to discard things and I tend to keep them and then forgot about them.  Things get piled out and it does affect my search for important things.  Likewise, I also have many ungodly thoughts that can clutter my thought and keep me from hearing God.  It takes times to de-clutter and I need God to show me what it is that is hidden, which He desires for me to discard, so that there is a room to hear His voice. 2)  De-tox Toxic attitudes & behaviors that I allow into my life affects my hearing and has impact on my walk with God.  There are many lies that the enemy has planted in my thought life and this can impact my relationship with God. I need to discern and identif...

Changed Basket

Someone shared a beautiful story with me today. Passing it on: Why do we read bible even if we can't understand or remember ???? An old Farmer lived on a farm in the mountains with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa woke up early sitting at the kitchen table reading the bible. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could. One day the grandson  asked, "Grandpa! I try to read the bible just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Bible  do?" The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, "Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water." The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, "You'll have to move a little faster next time," and sent him back to the river wit...
