This real example is extracted from a book titled "Me and My Big Mouth" by Joyce Meyer.
One afternoon I was lying in bed studying, when I suddenly got a pain in my foot. I have a bunion, and occasionally it will flare up and hurt. When the pain struck my foot, I said, "I rebuke this pain, in the name of Jesus. By His stripes I am healed. By the power of His blood I am made whole, and I will not have this pain."
Instantly there came another pain. Again I said, "In the name of Jesus, I am healed and made whole."
It seemed like a dueling match. I would say something positive out of the Word of God, and the pain would strike me again. I thought, "I don't care if I have to lie here and say this all day, I am going to win."
I said out loud, "I am healed by the stripes of Jesus. This pain has to leave."
I lay there on my bed, and everytime the pain would hit me, I would hit the devil with the Word of God. Pretty soon the pain quit, and it did not bother me again for the remainder of the day.
