THE ONE & ONLY WAY

Sometimes, in life, you find that there is only one way that leads to a particular destination. Taking a wrong way will not lead you there. There are times when you encounter a kind soul that direct you back to the right path and finally you reach your destination. However, sometimes, we may not have a second chance.

In the past, when people preach the gospel to me, I always told them that religion teaches people to do good. As long as I do good, I don’t need to believe in a God. But thank God, I still receive a second chance.

Many people know that God is love but not many know that God is holy and righteous. Being a holy God, he cannot tolerates sin and being righteous, the wages of sin is death. The soul that sinned, he must die. But God is love. How to satisfy His righteousness and holiness? His holiness and righteousness cannot allow him to close one eye and ignore our sins.

The Bible states clearly that without shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. (Hebrews 9:22) Someone has to die on our behalf. Because of His holiness, God cannot just accept the death of anyone for your sin. The Bible tells us that God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16). Jesus is the only appointed way by God. Though He was tempted like anyone of us, yet He is without sin. He is the perfect sacrifice. God cannot accept any standard below what He has set. It is only by accepting Jesus that you are granted salvation.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6).

3Ds - Declutter, Detox & Debug

Just learnt these 3 words in a seminar - De-clutter, De-tox, De-bug In order to hear God clearly, I need to constantly apply these 3Ds in my life:- 1) De-clutter Most of the times I have a hard time to discard things and I tend to keep them and then forgot about them.  Things get piled out and it does affect my search for important things.  Likewise, I also have many ungodly thoughts that can clutter my thought and keep me from hearing God.  It takes times to de-clutter and I need God to show me what it is that is hidden, which He desires for me to discard, so that there is a room to hear His voice. 2)  De-tox Toxic attitudes & behaviors that I allow into my life affects my hearing and has impact on my walk with God.  There are many lies that the enemy has planted in my thought life and this can impact my relationship with God. I need to discern and identif...

God is watching

I heard this true story during one of our home meeting. I find this story very touching and decided to put it in my blog as an encouragement to those who are faithfully taking care of their loved one. You are not alone, God is watching our every action. A sister in china shared that while her husband was in coma, she read some scriptures from the new testament to him daily and after each reading, she will pat her husband on his shoulder and say "amen" on his behalf. She did this faithfully for ten years. One day, while doing the regular reading, she suddenly heard a loud "Amen" and it came from none other but her husband. God has honoured our sister by showing mercy to her husband and while he was still in coma, his spirit is still very much alive. It is a good reminder to me not to belittle what we are doing for others. When we have a heart, God will show mercy to those whom we are praying and taking care.
