A wedding love feast

Today I attended a wedding love feast and one of the song we sang is as follows:-

In His time, in His time,
He makes all things beautiful, in His time,
Lord, please show me everyday,
As You're teaching me Your way,
That You do just what You say, in Your time

The highlight of the event began with the bride's testimony of how the couple got together. The story started with the bride's mother who strongly believed that her daughter and the groom-to-be would be an item in the future. Seemed to me like God has already planned everything. The groom also shared his story and specifically mentioned the 3 phases of their relationship. The first phase started with the couple trying to know one another. This is the most enjoyable phase as they tried to please one another and enjoy most activities together. The second phase began as they learn to open up to one another, and they soon discovered they were so different in term of personality and many other things. They started to ponder about their compatibility and whether to continue their relationship. They sought help from a couple in the church and through much prayer and seeking, they were very cleared that they were meant to be together. Finally, they entered into the third phase ie. they began to spend time together in prayer, in their church services, seeking the Lord together and this makes them closer as the day goes by. Their relationship are built on the Lord.

This is a beautiful testimony and I decided to put it in my blog. Just like the hymnal, God makes everything beautiful in His time. When they decided to turn to God, He shows them and teach them His way.

May the blessing of God be with this couple!

The new lawyer changed the course of his life while he was behind bars.  BY CHANG AI-LIEN SENIOR CORRESPONDENT Darren Tan, 35, is finally a full-fledged lawyer. He reached that milestone yesterday when he was called to the Bar during a mass ceremony at Nanyang Technological University. "This is the culmination of what I've been working towards for the last 10 years," he told The Sunday Times. "It's like waking up from a dream and finding out your dream has become reality." His life of crime began at the age of 14, and he was in and out of prison for offences that ...

A eagle story

Got this story from an email and find it very meaningful. Please read on ... There is a story about a little eagle that fell out of its nest and landed in a turkey farm. The eagle grew up among the turkeys and, although he looked a bit different, he learned to waddle like a turkey, bob his head like a turkey, and act like a turkey. One day the young eagle looked up into the sky and saw a beautiful eagle soaring above. The little eagle in the turkey yard thought, Oh, I would love to be able to do that! As the eagle soared overhead, it looked down and saw the young eagle below. Suddenly it swooped down to the ground and asked, "What are you doing here?" The little eagle replied, "I am just here in the turkey yard where I have always been." The great eagle looked and said, "Spread your wings, boy. You do just what I do. Follow me." Then he flapped his wings and lifted off the ground. The young eagle tried it, too. "Wheeee! This is all right!" "...

God is watching

I heard this true story during one of our home meeting. I find this story very touching and decided to put it in my blog as an encouragement to those who are faithfully taking care of their loved one. You are not alone, God is watching our every action. A sister in china shared that while her husband was in coma, she read some scriptures from the new testament to him daily and after each reading, she will pat her husband on his shoulder and say "amen" on his behalf. She did this faithfully for ten years. One day, while doing the regular reading, she suddenly heard a loud "Amen" and it came from none other but her husband. God has honoured our sister by showing mercy to her husband and while he was still in coma, his spirit is still very much alive. It is a good reminder to me not to belittle what we are doing for others. When we have a heart, God will show mercy to those whom we are praying and taking care.
