Forgiveness

Recently, there are some problems in my home. I realised that unforgiveness can do much hurt to a person. Unknowingly the person was locked in his/her own anger, bitterness, resentment that would imprisoned him/her.

Forgiveness does not come easy especially when we are hurt by our loved ones. However, the Bible instructs us to forgive as the Lord forgave us. In Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

We forgive by faith out of obedience based on the word of God i.e. trusting God to do the work in us that needs to be done so that forgiveness will be complete. God honours our commitment to obey Him and our desire to please him when we choose to forgive.

The following verse is always an encouragement. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. When we learn to give thanks always, we will not allow ourselves to be imprisoned by all these unhealthy emotions.

    Hallelujah. God is our Repairer of Breach. Because He is the Lord in your house, there will be harmony, unity and peace for Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Amen

ASK, SEEK & KNOCK

Below is a sharing by a christian friend:- ASK: I got up early one morning & rushed right into the day. I had so much to accomplish that I didn't have time to pray. Problems just tumbled about me and heavier came each task;'Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered. He said,"But you didn't ask." I wanted to see joy & beauty but the day toiled on, gray & bleak; I wondered why God didn't show me. He said,"But you didn't seek." I tried to come into God's presence; I used all my keys at the lock. God gently & lovingly chided "My child, you didn't knock," I woke up this morning and paused before entering the day. I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.  My friend's experience reminded me of a quote by Martin Luther :  “I have so much to do that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.”
