WORSHIP

One of the subject that I was supposed to share with the children last week is concerning "worship". There is no story line in the children materials on this topic and not much materials available for me to read up. I ask myself what is true worship? In the past, I thought worship is only in the meeting where we sing and praise God. Worship stopped when I come out of the meeting.

As year passed by, I began to realise that worship is a lifestyle. Worship encompasses every part of our lives. I began to search the web for more writeup on worship. I read from somewhere that true worship is initiated by God. Unless God reveals Himself, there is no true worship. We can only declare God's worth when He shows more of Himself to us.

Lately I encountered some problems at home. I tried to use my own method to solve the problem but the problem grew bigger and became worse and affected every member of my family. I soon realised that I am not warring against flesh and blood but against the principalities of the air and power. I submitted to God and turned to Him in prayer for Him to take over the entire situation. Within a short period of time, God made the path straight and I truly worship Him for who He is, and I can say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:6

3Ds - Declutter, Detox & Debug

Just learnt these 3 words in a seminar - De-clutter, De-tox, De-bug In order to hear God clearly, I need to constantly apply these 3Ds in my life:- 1) De-clutter Most of the times I have a hard time to discard things and I tend to keep them and then forgot about them.  Things get piled out and it does affect my search for important things.  Likewise, I also have many ungodly thoughts that can clutter my thought and keep me from hearing God.  It takes times to de-clutter and I need God to show me what it is that is hidden, which He desires for me to discard, so that there is a room to hear His voice. 2)  De-tox Toxic attitudes & behaviors that I allow into my life affects my hearing and has impact on my walk with God.  There are many lies that the enemy has planted in my thought life and this can impact my relationship with God. I need to discern and identif...

ASK, SEEK & KNOCK

Below is a sharing by a christian friend:- ASK: I got up early one morning & rushed right into the day. I had so much to accomplish that I didn't have time to pray. Problems just tumbled about me and heavier came each task;'Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered. He said,"But you didn't ask." I wanted to see joy & beauty but the day toiled on, gray & bleak; I wondered why God didn't show me. He said,"But you didn't seek." I tried to come into God's presence; I used all my keys at the lock. God gently & lovingly chided "My child, you didn't knock," I woke up this morning and paused before entering the day. I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.  My friend's experience reminded me of a quote by Martin Luther :  “I have so much to do that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.”
