Jesus rebuked the winds and the sea

Are you going through storms in your live where you felt hopeless and helpless? We may think or feel like God does not care. He is sleeping. He is not answering our prayers.

But thank God that in Matthew 8:23-27 we see that Jesus is in our boats! He is in control. Jesus want us to learn not to doubt, but to completely trust him and rely on his power and promise in the storms of our life. It is tough especially when we are going through the storm but when we realize who Jesus is, we can confidently and even persuaded that we can entrust our whole life to Him. When I learn not to struggle on my own but let Him be the captain of the boat, I always experience a calm after the storm.

Dear Lord, may we learn to trust you in every storm! Let us learn to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord!. (Exod 14:13).

The 2 trees in the Garden of Eden

Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil . Genesis 2:15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; Genesis 2:17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” In Genesis 2:17 God gave a warning to man, not to partake the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Because the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil uplifts the human soul and suppresses the spirit. When man partakes of this fruit, man's soul life will be stimulated and his spirit life will be stifled. This means man will lose the true knowledge of God and thus be dead to Him. The knowledge of good and evil will puff up t...
