Open my eyes....

Disagreement can be beautiful!

In the past, we usually do not encourage disagreement when we lead and guide our children. However, I just learnt that disagreement can be beautiful! It is good to lead our children to be honest about their doubts, lead them to bring all their questions/doubts to God, wrestle with life issues and not just let them go. When I learn to bring doubts/questions before Him rather than keep them in my heart, He revealed and cleared my doubts not immediately but in His time. This help to increase my faith in Him! Unexamined and unquestioned faith often does not survive the questions raised in their later year.

Bearing fruit

We are told in the Bible not just to bear fruit, but fruit that remains. John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. I just learnt that our decisions and the choices we made daily, whether godly or ungodly will bear fruit. Consequently what we do and even what we say will bear fruit. Thus the critical question is : can our fruit remains? can we bear fruit to God? Matthew 7:17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

If you want to grow...

The following is a popular children hymn that were taught to the young children. When the kids sing "grow", they will try to stretch taller to their abilities. Read your Bible, pray everyday Pray everyday, Pray everyday. Read your bible, pray everyday If you want to grow, If you want to grow.. Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. As we spend time in his Word, meditating it, applying it, unknowingly, we grow spiritually. God's desire become our desire. We love to do His will. We learn to listen and obey Him. We also learn to thank and praise Him and worship Him. It is good to praise Him and adore Him!
