How to stand against the wiles of the devil...

Jesus made all things beautiful in His time

Yesterday, many things just went wrong ....there is a crisis meeting to coordinate, many overseas calls to make, a visitor to attend, my boss important lunch's date to cancel, many phone calls streaming in because of the crisis and worst of all my computer system just failed and unable to log on.... All the important data and phone calls are there and when too many things happened, it is hard to stay focus... Deep within I just keep calling on God for help while I was managing the issues at hand one by one. I ask Him to help me stay focused. God is really gracious and He sent the helps I most needed. Psalm 50:15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” His word is true and can be trusted. He is faithful and real ... I learnt to take His word at face value. He really meant what He says. Now I must glorify Him... Praise God! Jesus made all things beautiful in His time.

What God has promised vs what God has not promised

God hath not promised skies always blue, Flower strewn pathways all our lives through; God hath not promised sun without rain, Joy without sorrow, peace without pain. God hath not promised we shall not know Toil and temptation, trouble and woe; He hath not told us we shall not bear Many a burden, many a care. God hath not promised smooth roads and wide, Swift, easy travel, needing no guide; Never a mountain rocky and steep, Never a river turbid and deep. But what God hath promised: But God hath promised strength for the day, Rest for the labor, light for the way, Grace for the trials, help from above, Unfailing sympathy, undying love. Words by Annie J. Flint 1919 Below are some encouraging promises of God directly from His Words:- “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.” Isaiah 43:2 “Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously lo

Our lips/mouth/tongue...

The Bible tells us that our tongue has creative power and is a force for either good or evil. Proverbs 18: 21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. The Bible also reveals that it is difficult to tame our tongue. Many times or rather most of the time, it is just beyond our control - We need God's help! James 3:5 Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. James 3:6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. James 3:7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, James 3:8 but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. But praise God for the Book of Psalms. This book has some powerful gems for us to meditate on. Make

To believe

Sometimes we say we believe but our action can speak otherwise. Recently just read something about the term "to believe". To believe involves some definite action that expresses the decision of the mind to accept the facts as true, the decision of the emotions to love and desire to belong to Christ as a living (though to us invisible) person, and the decision of the will to commit to live in the light of this belief.
