Tioman Island Holiday

I have just come home from Tioman Island, which is very beautiful. I learned a few lessons during this holiday which I love to share with you.

I woke up at 4:30am on Saturday morning but I reached my destination at 4:30pm. There were many waiting and waiting during the journey - wait for the taxi, wait for the tour bus, wait for custom clearance, wait for ferry etc. So I learned patience, I learned to slow down my pace in life, I learned to appreciate the life style of other people, I learned how to wait and wait without any fret!

Tioman Island is a God's creation. It's water is so clear that you can see the fishes from the ferry. I went snorkeling and saw many corals mushrooming under the sea. Colourful fishes of various sizes come charging at the food I fed them with. My relatives saw sting rays, baby sharks and jelly fish too! I saw flying squirrels hanging on trees, monitor lizards snapping up chickens and monkeys making faces at you. My most impressive memory is the night sky blanketed with stars, forming clusters here and there, and remembering that God knows each one by name! (Issiah 40:26).He loves us so much by creating all these for us to enjoy, so please take good care of Earth. It's our way of saying THANK YOU to the great Creator.

3Ds - Declutter, Detox & Debug

Just learnt these 3 words in a seminar - De-clutter, De-tox, De-bug In order to hear God clearly, I need to constantly apply these 3Ds in my life:- 1) De-clutter Most of the times I have a hard time to discard things and I tend to keep them and then forgot about them.  Things get piled out and it does affect my search for important things.  Likewise, I also have many ungodly thoughts that can clutter my thought and keep me from hearing God.  It takes times to de-clutter and I need God to show me what it is that is hidden, which He desires for me to discard, so that there is a room to hear His voice. 2)  De-tox Toxic attitudes & behaviors that I allow into my life affects my hearing and has impact on my walk with God.  There are many lies that the enemy has planted in my thought life and this can impact my relationship with God. I need to discern and identif...

Changed Basket

Someone shared a beautiful story with me today. Passing it on: Why do we read bible even if we can't understand or remember ???? An old Farmer lived on a farm in the mountains with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa woke up early sitting at the kitchen table reading the bible. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could. One day the grandson  asked, "Grandpa! I try to read the bible just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Bible  do?" The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, "Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water." The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, "You'll have to move a little faster next time," and sent him back to the river wit...
