Free Will to choose

God created each of us with free will. He did not want us to be robot. We are free to choose but of course there is a consequence if we made bad choices. In the garden of Eden, he set the choices before men. The consequences of the choices are explained clearly to them. If he choose the tree of life, he will have everlasting life but if he choose the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he will face the consequence of death. Everyday we are faced with choices to make. Sometimes we made some good choices and at time we made some bad choices.

As christian believers, we can override all the negative things Satan has planned for us by simply exercising our willpower to agree with God and His Word. Many times we choose to believe the lies of the enemy. We choose to believe that we are too insignificant for God to care. Thus we develop low self-esteem, unworthy and thus no confidence in whatever we do.

But if we choose to believe God's word, we can start to enjoy God's best for our life. In John 4:16 (New International Version) And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. We can trust God's love. He loves us with an everlasting love. We can take a step of faith and believe that we are valuable and God has a great future planned for us!!

The new lawyer changed the course of his life while he was behind bars.  BY CHANG AI-LIEN SENIOR CORRESPONDENT Darren Tan, 35, is finally a full-fledged lawyer. He reached that milestone yesterday when he was called to the Bar during a mass ceremony at Nanyang Technological University. "This is the culmination of what I've been working towards for the last 10 years," he told The Sunday Times. "It's like waking up from a dream and finding out your dream has become reality." His life of crime began at the age of 14, and he was in and out of prison for offences that ...

A eagle story

Got this story from an email and find it very meaningful. Please read on ... There is a story about a little eagle that fell out of its nest and landed in a turkey farm. The eagle grew up among the turkeys and, although he looked a bit different, he learned to waddle like a turkey, bob his head like a turkey, and act like a turkey. One day the young eagle looked up into the sky and saw a beautiful eagle soaring above. The little eagle in the turkey yard thought, Oh, I would love to be able to do that! As the eagle soared overhead, it looked down and saw the young eagle below. Suddenly it swooped down to the ground and asked, "What are you doing here?" The little eagle replied, "I am just here in the turkey yard where I have always been." The great eagle looked and said, "Spread your wings, boy. You do just what I do. Follow me." Then he flapped his wings and lifted off the ground. The young eagle tried it, too. "Wheeee! This is all right!" "...

Loving one another

1 John 4:20b. .. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. The above verse is a very good reminder.   We need to love not only in words but in deeds. Just visited a brother who was sick.  He could not come for the church meeting as his sickness has handicapped him.  But praise God, I saw the love of the brothers and sisters who take turn to care for him.  To fetch him to the meeting hall and also to read the bible with him.  By so doing, they have strengthened his faith. 1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 3:18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. I have read from a blog on how to care for one another: First Thing Is Prayer If you really love your neighbor, the first thing you will do is pray for them. As a human you are li...
